The Role:
The Systems & Support Engineer plays a key role in supporting the company’s maritime and subsea systems throughout their full lifecycle, from deployment and integration through to long-term sustainment and customer operations. Working closely with internal teams and customers, the role focuses on ensuring systems perform reliably and efficiently in demanding environments, while delivering a high standard of technical support and customer satisfaction. This position suits an adaptable engineer with broad experience across engineering, marine, or related industries, and a strong interest in hands-on problem solving and operational excellence.
What you’ll be doing:
- Install, commission, test, and support systems during deployments, trials, and operations.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair systems, providing on-site and remote customer support.
- Integrate, configure, and test subsystems, supporting FAT/SAT and resolving integration issues.
- Monitor system performance, analyse failures, and support maintenance, spares, and sustainment planning.
- Deliver training and develop documentation to support customer operational readiness.
- Feed operational insight into product improvements, upgrades, configuration control, and safety compliance.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or equivalent).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Medically fit for offshore and shipboard operations.
- Experience in design engineering or product development is advantageous.
- Systems thinking and system-of-systems awareness.
- Hands-on technical capability.
- Strong customer engagement and communication.
- Adaptability in operational environments.
- Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
