The Role:
As Logistics & Infrastructure Manager, you'll lead a critical function at the heart of JFD Australia's operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant management of inventory, logistics, facilities and infrastructure. Working across the business and partnering closely with Product Lines, you'll drive operational excellence, strengthen capability and implement scalable processes that support programme delivery and future growth. This is a varied leadership role with the opportunity to make a tangible impact on business performance, continuous improvement and the development of a high-performing logistics operation.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and develop the Stores & Logistics team, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations that support business objectives.
- Drive inventory accuracy and operational performance through effective management of warehousing, logistics, freight and material movements.
- Improve warehouse efficiency, material flow and storage utilisation, identifying opportunities to enhance performance and reduce waste.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards and legislative requirements across all logistics activities.
- Lead audits, inventory reviews and corrective actions, maintaining strong governance and operational integrity.
- Manage JFD Australia’s facilities and infrastructure, including maintenance programmes, contractor management, fleet, security arrangements and site presentation, ensuring safe and reliable working environments.
What we're looking for:
- Proven leadership experience in stores, logistics, warehousing, operations or a related environment.
- Strong experience managing inventory, warehouse operations, stock control and inventory accuracy.
- Experience overseeing facilities and infrastructure, including contractor management, maintenance and site services.
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success in developing and improving operational processes, procedures and performance frameworks.
- Strong systems capability, including warehouse management systems, ERP platforms and data-driven performance management.
- Sound understanding of quality management systems, health and safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience within Defence, Engineering, Manufacturing or other highly regulated environments would be advantageous; knowledge of Dangerous Goods, international shipping or business transformation projects is also desirable.
